About Catherine

Catherine Touzard, expert on Circular Economy (APO expert, Circulab Network licensee) a certified carbon auditor, has a 20 years experience working on sustainability, climate change and circular economy, through projects and teaching, mainly in Hong Kong, and China (biogas project).
With a senior experience in carbon audits of buildlings, consulting on eco-design and green strategies, waste management and energy practices for many schools, companies and individual projects, she regularly runs circular economy workshops, for innovation, team building and strategical transitions.
Catherine also teaches courses on sustainable practices in low-carbon, eco-materials and eco-design, as well as applied climate change transition.
Going Green in Hong Kong, a guidebook on green living in English & chinese, Earth Champion Award 2008, will republish in 2108.
A certified Permaculture Designer, trained in biomimicry, Catherine is currently teaching sustainability and low-carbon materials at Insight School of Design, past FIS Sustainability Coordinator, and regular Climate Change Teacher at Ark Eden, regularly lectures at HK City U Architecture Department and contributed to a HK Poly U project as Environmental Education expert.
With her long experience of working in Asia, combined with strong professional networks (Ademe, Circulab, Biomimicry group,part of Innovatewith nature.com) Catherine has an extensive global network of companies and non-profits around sustainability that she can leverage to picks latest innovation and approaches wherever they are.
Her background includes a doctorate in Economics (Paris I La Sorbonne), along with language studies in English, German and Chinese.

Going Green In Hong Kong offers practical guidelines and background information on our environment and how we can impact it as lightly as possible, getting health and savings benefits alongside lighter carbon or biodiversity footprints.
Going Green published in English and Chinese, selling at 14,000 copies. It received many prizes and media coverage.

Catherine, through her work as Sustainability Teacher at Insight, School of Design, her past work as Sustainability Coordinator at the French International School and her frequent talks and presentations in organisations and universities, has an outstanding experience in sharing knowledge about sustainability to students of all ages.
